Florfenicol 10% W/V
Broiler chickens: Florfenicol 10% W/V Oral Solution is indicated in broiler chickens for the treatment and control of air sacculitis associated with E. coli susceptible to florfenicol.
Florfenicol: 100 g/L
Benzyl Alcohol: 8.5 ml
1ml of Florfenicol 10% W/V Oral Solution in 1L water or 100ppm (100mg/L) for 3 consecutive days in drinking water. This dosage rate is equivalent to 35mg florfenicol/kg body weight of birds.
Treated animals must not be slaughtered for use in food for 5 days for broiler chickens after the latest treatment with this drug.
Store in cool dry place (below 25℃). Strictly avoid light and exposure.
The medicated water should be administered as the only source of drinking water for 3 consecutive days. Inappropriate use of the veterinary medicinal product may increase the prevalence of bacteria resistant to florfenicol. To limit the development of antimicrobial resistance, the choice of this drug as the most appropriate treatment should be confirmed by clinical experience supported where possible by pathogen culture and drug susceptibility testing. Avoid direct contact with skin, eyes and clothes. In case of accidental skin exposure, wash with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Consult a physician if irritation persists
Any unused veterinary product or waste materials derived from such veterinary medicinal products should be disposed of an accordance with local requirements
